Kari was not among the original 7 Digi Destined who entered the Digital World from summer camp
becuase she was at home with the flu. Tai was later reunited with Kari when he and the other Digi
Destined entered the real world to pursue an evil Digimon named Myotismon, who was seeking to find
and kill the eighth Digi Destined. He, along with the seven original DigiDestined, were pecifically
looking for the eighth Digivice. Gatomon, one of Myotismon's henchmen, was the first to suspect that Kari was the eighth Digi Destined when she recognized her as a Digimon, deciding to kill her just to play it safe. However, Kari turned around and Gatomon hestitated, running away while confused on why she couldn't kill Kari. With a Digimon named Wizardmon's help, Gatomon learned that Kari is not only the eighth Digi Destined, but she is her Digimon partner as well, regaining all her memories of the past. |
